Lake Lucerne Boat Landing Construction – Summer 2026
Update 5/28/2026 – The DNR will be removing the boat dock at the boat landing on Wednesday, June 3rd and closing the boat launch and parking lot on Friday, June 5th. Construction to start on Monday, June 8th. Construction is estimated to be completed by the end of July (weather dependent).
If you are are Lake Lucerne property owner and you need to launch or remove your boat after the 4th of June, the Water’s Edge private boat ramp will be available provided you make a reservation using this link. Lake Lucerne Boat Launch Request
If you are renting a boat from local company, you will need to coordinate this with the rental company.
Update 5/4/2026 – The DNR has provided a Program Statement Document and a set of plan sheets that will help to show details behind the project and the overall new design.
The Program Sheet Document which can be access here (WIDNR Project 20845) contains 2 projects; one for Lake Lucerne and the other for another lake access. To prevent leaving anything out, the document sent by the DNR was not separated.
The Plan Sheets which can be accessed here (WIDNR Project 2045 Plant Sheets) will show the demolition part of the project (removal of existing parking area and ramp) along with additional layouts of the parking area and the new ramp. The new boat launch ramp is 50′ Length by 14′ Width. There is a dock alongside the west side of the ramp.
Update 4/29/2026 – The Wisconsin DNR has confirmed this week that the boat launch and parking lot project is still a GO for this summer. Based on the latest update the construction is now scheduled to start approximately June 14th and complete approximately July 31st. The actual timeline will be driven by a number of factors including weather, equipment/materials and manpower.
The LLAA Board would like to thank Brett Rabideau, owner of the Water’s Edge, for allowing the use of his private landing while construction takes place.
Please note the following:
- Use of the Water’s Edge boat ramp is restricted to Lake Lucerne property owners only. Rental property owners will need to communicate this to their rentals so that their boats can be launched.
- An appointment must be scheduled with the Lake Lucerne Advancement Association prior to use.
- Appointment hours are Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. NO drive ups.
- Emergency access will be considered on a case-by-case basis outside of Water’s Edge business hours.
- Parking of vehicles or trailers is strictly prohibited.
- All watercraft owners must comply with WIDNR Clean Boats, Clean Waters protocol.
- Power loading is strictly prohibited
- NO swimming from the Waters Edge docks.
